Schitterende modernistische zilveren broche van topdesigner Perli*, opgericht in 1922/23 Duitsland, Schwäbisch Gmünd, door Martha May, welke in 1937 bij de Wereld Tentoonstelling in Parijs, een zilveren medaille wint voor haar designs. De broche is gemerkt met 925 ZI Pe (Perli). De sieraden van Perli kenmerken zich door hun brutalistische en modernistische designs. Deze prachtige broche is gezet met natuurlijke facet geslepen granaat. Hij heeft uiteraard een goedwerkende overslagsluiting.
*In 1922/23 the company Perli was founded by Martha May (born 1899).
Martha May attended the technical school in in 1916/17. then teaches at Giebichenstein in Halle and returns to the Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany over the 30 years
Initially, the focus is on the production of glass bead jewels, which Martha May himself designs and implements, but in 1933-34 the range of the company, led by Richard Stotz (goldsmith born 1909), is considerably expanded with a collection of silver jewelery and in 1934/35 a start was made with the making and manufacturing of enamel jewelry.
Her husband Georg Wilhelm May is the commercial director and travel agent of Perli.
Designs were also executed by JW Fehrle Schwäbisch Gmünd.
1937: The company Perli receives a silver medal at the World Exhibition in Paris.
1972: restructuring of the company; from now on the production of gold and silver jewelry, which today still enjoys a good reputation because of its excellent design
1993: dissolution of the company for age reasons; despite intensive efforts no suitable successor was found.
